'Nerd-Chic'
Sure, I may look ‘normal’ to you, but on the inside I’m a pretty big nerd. My dad had a saying that we were part of the GNORK clan: geek, nerd & dork all in one.
No one said to be random, interested in books and
slightly weird meant you had to look the part. You know those hulking
glasses constantly falling down your nose, too high pants, a squinty
disposition and of course those tight suspenders. Well that’s not me.
For the most part I am just a normal young adult (or perhaps I'm at that point where just adult is more appropriate). I can’t seem to shake
the nerd inside me though; the one who loves talking about
books, doesn't ever want to stop learning, gets excited about theories
and giddy when people break into song and dance and I can’t help but
want to do the same.
I don’t care if people think I’m odd, people who
know me best would probably say it’s one of my best qualities. I like to
 laugh often and sometimes my humor is quite, quite cheesy. Okay, most
of the time it is. I do not claim to be witty, that would be ridiculous. I'm not just a kooky nerd; I like photography, poetry, arts, really great unique music, fashion, and going to rock concerts. Think Steve Urkle meets Stefon Urckle.
   Speaking of characters: If I characterized myself, I would (or in some cases, want to) be a hybrid of:
Elven maiden Arwen Undómiel from the Lord of the Rings {So elegant and magical! Come on, who wouldn't want to be Elven really?}
Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons from game of Thrones {Seriously, she just rocks.}
           Rachel Berry from Glee {I’ll take her voice & confidence any                                                              yes the corkiness too.}

Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City {She is just me and I am her in so many ways...}

An odd mix perhaps but there it is.
Point is: I love the likes of things such as Science Friday on NPR but also love Music festivals with their hippie's and cool musicians. Go figure I’d be a half-breed.
